The product is a web-based interactive platform, that combines a robust data value chain and game design visual guidelines to maximize usability and engagement, empowering users to easily, and in real-time, not only identify the value gap in tourism related service offerings across locations, but also to be able to do that dynamically and with a deeper understanding.
By combining different contextual datasets (tourist traffic, venues, locations, demographics, weather, etc), the product creates a model that will analyse existing historical data and generate forecasts regarding tourist behaviors, along with the drivers behind it, as well as simulate what will happen if service offerings change, and its impact in other services or other neighbourhoods of a given city. Inspired by video game design principles, the product will present that information in a readable an actionable fashion to its target audience, in this case, municipalities and tourism bureaus or tourism groups.
