The project aim is to implement a smart energy management platform based on iChain platform, that can provide an effective digital solution to the challenge proposed by SMAT.
iChain, once customized for the specific needs (iChain4SMAT), will be able to provide a comprehensive view of energy consumption and related costs, identifying potential energy-saving opportunities, and predicting future costs based on different market scenarios.
iChain4SMATprovide the following functionalities:
• collects and process energy consumption data from different sources such as smart meters, IoT devices, and past energy bills.
• estimates the energy expense for a selected month and provide a graphical overview of the energy consumption pattern and associated costs.
• compares short-term energy consumption periods with historical profiles.
• create consumption profiles for different points of delivery.
Usage of Standards for data interoperability:
iChain design was inspired by the ISO-IEC international standard EPCIS (GS1) with the exact purpose of being interoperable with other information systems in the collaborative supply chain application context. This led to a sophisticated, structured data organization where the information coming from the datasets or from other sources can be ingested and analysed (including geo-spatial, time, event/activity objective, and other related info). In other word iChain allows to build a Digital Twin of the observed phenomenon and to perform advanced analytics (A.I./C.I).
